THE GROUP Vila Galé is one of the largest hotel groups in Portugal and ranks in the top 250 hotel companies in the world. The ... group is comprised of various associations, of which the largest and most important is VILA GALÉ - Sociedade de Empreendimentos Turísticos, S.A. (Association of Tourism Enterprises). Founded in 1986, it is one of the top rated companies in Portugal, and its activities include the management of all the hotels in the group. The company is also involved in the development of other projects and in the construction of new tourism ventures. The Vila Galé group is currently responsible for the management of 27 hotels: 20 in Portugal and seven in Brazil - with a total of 13,068 beds. The group currently employs around 2,500 people, and a great part of the group's success is due to the close links that exist between all the staff. They are a cohesive team with a strong passion for tourism and hospitality.
