About Vidyadaan Sahayyak Mandal(VSM), Thane

Vidyadaan Sahayyak Mandal (VSM), Thane is a registered Charitable Trust working in the field of education which was founded in 2 ... 008 by a group of like-minded people who wanted to help bright and deserving students who could not continue with their education due to weak financial position. Out of 110 students almost 90 students are below poverty line, 10 are without any parents, 10 with single parents and 2 physically handicapped. In addition to financial assistance for education, VSM conducts various workshops and extra-curricular activities and provide library to help students become responsible citizens and good human being. 'Palak Karyakarta' (PK) plays a key role in this whole journey. PK acts as a bridge between VSM and students. All student updates flow through PK to respective committees. Regular communication between students and PK has created stronger bonds that transcend beyond the transactional or routine updates and students look up to their PK as one of the family members and mentor. VSM operates completely from the funding received from its donors. VSM is proud of the fact that majority of the donation is used for students and the administration cost is kept at minimal.
