About Turkish Exporters Assembly - Türkiye İhracatçılar Meclisi

Representing the dynamic exporters of the Turkey, Turkish Exporters Assembly was established in 1993. TIM represents 13 general ... secretariats of 60 exporters unions organized in regions/sectors and 26 exporter industries. As the management organization for associations, we officially represent sixty thousand active exporters in Turkey who are pioneers of competitive Turkish sectors, delivering goods to almost all countries on the world. Our vision is “to render the change is to design the future” and our exporters stand behind Turkey’s dynamic trade ambassadors. TIM's headquartered in Istanbul. The management bodies of TIM are General Assembly, Council of Sectors, Board of Directors, Board of Advisors, and General Secretariat. TIM representing exporters in domestic and abroad is established on the structure of the General Assembly consisted of the managements of the exporter unions. TIM represents all exporters in all levels through the most democratic elections. It establishes and operates the required mechanisms for the involvement of the members in the decision processes. It provides contact and coordination between the exporters' unions and sectors. The subjects including informing the exporter firms of the developments in the foreign trade, statistics and reporting studies, organizing mutual exchange committees with various countries are included in the job definitions of the exporter unions. It provides online service to the members of the exporter unions thanks to its strong technological infrastructure. At the 100th anniversary of the Republic, Turkey aims to be among the top 10 economies in the world. We aim to reach 500 billion dollars export, 2 trillion dollars GDP and 25 thousand $ GDP per capita. In order to reach this target, we focus on increasing value add on four main pillars, which are; innovation, design, R&D and branding, which we believe are crucial for sustainable development and increasing number of international successful ventures.
