Members are encouraged to express opinions on current matters using articles, blogs and news. Sodere.com was started as a blog on October 2010 by Girum Assefa and became a social news site in January 2011. As of January 6, 2014, Sodere.com has close to 25,500 highly engaged users. There were more than 3.1 million visitors in 2013. Half of our members has invited more than 20 of their friends to read news and become a member of Sodere.com. 40% of our users visit the website twice daily. Unlike other major news companies which use Facebook to add social features to their website, Sodere has it's own social features integrated in the website.
