The company owns the Prutul oil factory in Galați and 22 cereal and oil plants storage facilities in the most agriculturally active 9 counties of Romania. The total storage capacity of its facilities and silos exceeds 440,000 tons. We condition and store all types of cereals and oil seeds, our facilities and silos being provided with state-of-the-art equipment for reception, quantity and quality checks and conditioning of products (measurement, drying, aeration, gassing) compliant with European standards. Recent investments were focused on both the Prutul oil factory, currently one of the most up-to-date factories of its kind in Romania, and building a sunflower husk pelletization plant. This leading edge equipments provide a complete and 90% automated production flow (extraction, refining, bottling). The Prutul factory has the following Quality Standards and Certifications: - ISO 9001/2008 and ISO 22000/20 Certificates - FSSC 22000 Certificate - The ISSC-EU Sustainabiliy Certificate - IFS Certification and GMP+ Certificate. In 2016 Prutul became a member of FOSFA and GAFTA. The factory in Galați produces sunflower and rapeseed oil. Prutul owns 6 brands for vegetable oil in all market segments: Spornic, Bonatello, Picasol (imported extra virgin olive oil), Prutul, Surâsul Soarelui and Boniflor. In 2016, Prutul launched the first different oil in Romania – High Oleic sunflower oil, with a content of minimum 75% oleic acid (Omega 9) and many benefits for consumers, professional kitchens and industrial clients. The company is selling the High Oleic oil in bulk and also under its main Romanian brand: Spornic.
