About Poseidon Diving Systems AB

The Poseidon company was founded in 1958 in Gothenburg, Sweden, by Dennis Österlund and Ingvar Elvström. It was the first in t ... he world to mass-produce a single hose regulator, the breathing equipment used by nearly every sports diver since. Poseidon was also the first to manufacture a neoprene dry suit and the first dry suit with a gas- and water tight zipper. In 1972, Poseidon introduced the Cyklon, the world’s first 300 bar regulator. Thirty year later the Poseidon Xstream was awarded the first ever 200 m certification, enabled by the patented ruby ball high pressure seat. In 2008, Poseidon launched the world’s first fully automatic electronic rebreather, thereby revolutionizing the way sports divers could experience the ocean. In 2016, building on almost 60 years of diving innovation, Poseidon has launched another world’s first; the Poseidon M28 Dive Computer sets a new standards for dive computer performance.
