JSC “Lazika Capital” is non-banking microfinance institution. The mission of Lazika Capital is to provision the access of ... low and middle income entrepreneurs to the adequate financial services. The lending strategy of Lazika Capital stimulates the legalization and institutionalization of entrepreneurship particularly in rural areas, with a large concentration of informal income generating activities and bridges that segment to SME standards. Despite of its strong pro-social focus in lending philosophy, Lazika Capital is for-profit commercial organization. However, the liberalization of lending policy has been and will remain as a main direction for the company. The small scale rural and semi-urban entrepreneurs are the principle target for geographical expansion of Lazika Capital; however its financial growth will permanently maintain optimal concentration of the products tailored to the needs of SMEs. Unlike to the other microfinance organizations the main priority of Lazika Capital is purely a business development, therefore the lending scheme and operating specifics are maximally tailored to the stimulation of micro and small business and prevent their own or borrowed funds from spending for consumption needs. Though as an adequate response to existing demand on market, some small portion of consumption loans are offered mainly to rural low-income borrowers, in order to prevent them from borrowing money from pawnshops or private creditors in case of necessity .
