The IGEA is an Iranian non-political, non-profit, non-governmental organization composed of Iranian active experts, companies, industries, institutes, professors, researchers and students in the field of geothermal energy who do related research in national and international level, cooperate with educational and research institutes, support geothermal energy researchers and students by granting funds, scholarships, prizes etc. in order to develop the use of geothermal energy, conducting educational, technical and research projects, holding conferences, workshops and meetings in national, regional and international levels and publishing related books, journals and statistical data.
