Highlander was created from a passion for adventure and the outdoors. Founded in Edinburgh in 1985, we are proud to remain a Sco ... ttish based, family-owned organisation. We specialise in outdoor and military equipment, focusing on great products at affordable prices. Innovation is at the centre of Highlander’s ethos. We dedicate our passion to designing and manufacturing all the gear you need for camping, walking, military pursuits and survival. As Scotland is our playground, our design team regularly test our products in extreme weather. Over the years Highlander has steadily grown its business, expanding into National retail chains and exporting to Europe and beyond. We now produce over 2,000 product lines. In 2012 we diversified to successfully secure a contract to supply the London 2012 Olympics with official merchandise. And then, following on from this success, we also went on to supply the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games with official merchandise. Highlander is a family owned and run business to this day, and in 2014 we were voted the best Small to medium Scottish Family business of the year at the Herald Family Business awards. Highlander are also dedicated to helping charities that are close to our hearts including Help for Heroes, Britain on Foot and Children with Cancer UK. We are a gold level supporter of the John Muir Trust and are helping Fresh 2o build fresh water wells throughout Africa. Show more
