It was in 1919 when for the first time Moundreas’ Family name appeared in Piraeus market as a shipping services entity. Since ... then, through adverse political and economy circumstances, it always stood by the side of its numerous clients and finally became one of the most important factors in the development of local Shipping. The post-world war II days finds the company under a rapid expansion with the second generation taking place by the side of its Founders. Chartering and Sale & Purchase of second hand vessels successfully claim a good part of the international business. Strong ties with the Socialist Countries, the opening of P.R.China chartering market and the introduction of Japanese S+P markets make the company a pioneer in its fields of business. As a result of internal arrangements, GEORGE MOUNDREAS & COMPANY, S.A. came to life in 1974. Under the wise guidance of the late Sotiris Moundreas (+1987),a legendary name among Piraeus Shipbroking World, his son George S. Moundreas, assumes the responsibility of the company’s future development and brings it to the current strong and solid position.
