Our History Based in East London and the Lake District, CLARITY (est. 1854) and The Soap Co. are proudly made in Britain. With over 80 years’ experience creating high quality toiletries and soap products for corporate clients, restaurants and high-end hotels, we invest all income back into the business to employ people who are blind, disabled or otherwise disadvantaged. We’re proud to say we’re very good at what we do, producing over 1.2 million units per year from our factory and workshop in Keswick. In 2015 we launched The Soap Co., a premium ethical brand with an award-winning design. It supports our fundamental belief that there doesn’t need to be a trade-off between sophisticated luxury products and a strong social and environmental ethos.
