Mizzi & Sons Ltd started off as a trading organisation in 1915, and now, almost 100 years later, still concentrates primari ... ly on distribution and marketing, the accent being on branded consumer products. Alf. Mizzi & Sons (Marketing) Group is the largest group subsidiary, with over 300 employees. It is the foremost Maltese distributor for foodstuffs and allied grocery products, covering all retail outlets directly. Its focus is on marketing branded products and it is by far the single largest advertiser on Maltese TV. It is the sole distributor for, among others Cadbury, La Vache Qui Rit, Mc Cain, Kerrygold, Lesieur, Agnesi, Bahlsen, Muller, Rio Mare, Carapelli and AIA. The Company operates out of state-of-the-art custom-built premises with 6,600 ambient & 2,000 temperature-controlled pallet placings. The Company operates a Quality Management system which complies with the requirements of ISO 9001: 2008 + HACCP & OHSAS 18000. The Group won the Quality in People Award in 1996 and the People Management and Satisfaction Award for 2002. In 2011, the Group has been awarded the Equality Mark by the National Commission for the Promotion of Equality on the recognition and promotion of the potential of all employees irrespective of their gender and caring responsibilities. In 2011. the Company won two Malta People Awards organised by the Foundation for Human Resources Development in the following categories: Employee Engagement and Equal Opportunities Employer.
