n and dedicated volunteerism. The idea behind 1-More came from its then 14-year old founder who was determined to help those in need. While volunteering for Special Olympics, the Food Bank, Be the Change, and other groups, he realized the magnitude of the opportunity at hand and decided that if he could help, he would, 1 person at a time if need be.
The premise was elegant in its simplicity. Do what you can. Positive change has to start somewhere, sometimes it just needs a catalyst. It can be as simple as dedicating a couple of hours of your time, bringing along one more friend to an activity, or just putting spare change to good use. While these may seem like small things – when combined with thousands of others the impact can be huge.
1-More is designed to help when and where the need is the greatest – providing care, relief, compassion and support when the unexpected presents itself.
