th homelessness. Through a wide spectrum of services, we meet people where they are in the spectrum of homelessness. The ultimate goal for every person we serve is to help them reach the highest level of self-sufficiency possible.
Connections began in 1984 as a local movement when a small group of community members demanded something be done for the growing population of homeless people in Evanston, IL. What started out as an overnight shelter has transformed into a multi-service agency with education, employment, health, and housing programs.
Today, Connections helps more than 1,000 individuals and families each year with the help of over 5,000 supporters and volunteers. Connections serves clients from 31 communities in Cook County, with a primary focus on Evanston, Niles, New Trier, and Northfield townships.

Connections provides housing and supportive services to move individuals and families out of the shadow of homelessness.
